Frequently asked questions about train times

Where can I see Italian train times?

On this page: enter the departure and arrival station and pick the day. You see direct trains and trains with changes, with the duration and each train's average delay. For a single station open its board, with today's departures, arrivals and platforms. Official times are also on the Trenitalia, Italo and Trenord websites, and in the station timetables published by RFI.

How do I know if a train is delayed or cancelled?

Open the train's page: search its number in the bar at the top, or tap it on the board or in the results. You see its delay right now, its stops, its platform and whether the run is cancelled. On strike days also check the strikes page, with links to the guaranteed trains.

Are the times live?

The search uses the scheduled timetable. Live delays are in the «Right now on the network» box above, on the station boards and on each train's page, which update during the day.

Are Italo and regional trains included?

Yes: Frecce, Intercity, Trenitalia regional trains and Italo. For Tuscany, Liguria, Piedmont and Sardinia we use the official timetable published by the regions; for the rest of Italy we rebuild the timetable from the trains we see running every day. A rare or newly added run can therefore be missing: check the operator's website before buying a ticket.

When does the train timetable change?

The new rail timetable starts every year in mid-December, with an update in June. The timetable used here was imported on 13 October 2026 and is valid until 12 December 2026.

Where can I find train timetables as PDF?

Treniamo does not publish PDF timetables. Station timetables, the posters with departures and arrivals shown in stations, are published by RFI on its website.

Can I search times for another day?

Yes: pick the date in the form. You can also set the time you want to leave after and keep only direct trains.
