Avellino solari board

This page is the solari live board for Avellino station, a view inspired by the electromechanical split-flap displays of Italian railway stations from the '70s and '80s, rebuilt for the web. It shows the next 10 trains departing from Avellino in real time, listing for each one the scheduled time, train number, final destination, any accumulated delay, and assigned platform.

Data comes from the RFI/Trenitalia system via the public Viaggiatreno feed and is refreshed automatically every 60 seconds. The delay reported for each train comes from the latest official tracking, not from an estimate: if a train is cancelled, suppressed or re-routed to a different platform, the corresponding row will say so explicitly.

Unlike the full station page for Avellino, which gathers departures, arrivals, connections, punctuality statistics and access notes, the live board is designed for fast consultation: catching at a glance which train is leaving now, from which platform and with what delay. It is readable from a medium distance, so it also works from a screen hung in a waiting area, a café or shop monitor near the station, or as a small monitoring dashboard for anyone running a service connected to the rail traffic of Avellino.

Avellino is located in Campania; the regional rail network carries regional services, intercity trains and in some hubs also high-speed services. The live board above gives you the operational picture for this station specifically, moment by moment.

For the extended list of departures and arrivals, suggested connections, punctuality statistics and access notes, see the full Avellino station page.

Live board FAQ

How often does the live board refresh?

The live board for Avellino refreshes automatically every 60 seconds from the public RFI/Trenitalia feed (Viaggiatreno). You don't need to reload the page.

Where does the train data come from?

From the official RFI/Trenitalia system via the public Viaggiatreno API. Treniamo is an independent service, not affiliated with Trenitalia, Italo or RFI; it displays data exactly as published upstream.

Can I use this as a kiosk or info screen?

Yes. The solari layout is designed to be readable from medium distance, so it works well on a hung monitor or in browser fullscreen. Leave the page open on Avellino and the refresh happens on its own.

Why do some trains show a big delay and others zero?

The delay shown comes from the latest official tracking of each train along its route. A train that has just departed or is still at its origin station may show 0 minutes until RFI publishes the next update. Long-distance trains are updated at every station they pass.

What does 'solari' mean?

The name refers to Solari di Udine, the Italian company that since the 1950s has built the famous split-flap departure boards installed in major Italian stations (Milano Centrale, Roma Termini, Firenze SMN and many more). This page is a web tribute to that aesthetic.

Treniamo is not affiliated with Trenitalia or Italo. Data from public RFI/Trenitalia sources.
